As a photographer I am asked what I enjoy most about my job. Why am I a wedding photographer?
It is often a difficult question for me to put into few words…..
I love the fact that I can make time stand still so that you will remember your day forever, I love that each wedding is so different from the other, I love exposing myself to different religions and cultures, I love those tiny little details that you spend so much time on, I love capturing the smiles and tears that fall down your eyes as you dance with your father/mother, I love the look a groom gives his new bride as he sees her for the first time, I love those yummy cakes and cupcakes that make my mouth water, I love the smell of perfume so much that I so wish I could capture the scent in the photo, I love artsy style portraits, I love the challenge of creating something unique and different every time I shoot a wedding, I love the fast paced energy that flows through every person the day of the wedding, I love to capture you when you when you look in the mirror for the first time, I love all the thank you’s I get from all of my wonderful client’s - it makes me want to work harder and harder and most of all I love that you have given me the honor in attending the MOST IMPORTANT DAY of your life. Dayna Schroeder Photography, a top rated portrait photographer, is currently seeking models from various schools in the Portland, OR metropolitan area to act as Model Spokespersons in 2010.
What is a Model Spokesperson?
A Model Spokesperson is someone that helps promote Dayna Schroeder Photography with their own amazing senior portraits. I’m looking for 2011 Seniors who can create a buzz about our company. There is no obligation to purchase and there is no cost to you. If you would like to order prints from you session we would gladly send you a link to your online gallery so you may do so.
Would I be a good candidate?
If you are outgoing, fun-spirited, energetic and graduating in 2011 you would be a great candidate.
Once selected you will receive:
- Complimentary 30 minute lifestyle photography session for your Senior Portraits.
- 25 senior rep cards using your photo(s) to hand out to your classmates/friends
- Post on our Blog, Website and Facebook showing off your images.
- Free profile photo for Facebook, My Space, etc with the Dayna Schroeder Photography watermark (please don’t remove this)
- When your referrals book a senior session, you then earn credits and prizes. (eg. Mastercard/Visa gift card)
What is the Credit System?
Receive $20 print credit for each referral you send! For example: 5 friends/classmates referred equals $100! 10 equals $200!! 25 equals $500!!!
The three (3) students with this highest number of bookings will also receive the following prizes:
- Third Place – $100 Visa/Mastercard Gift Card
- Second Place – $125 visa/Mastcard Gift Card
- First Place – $150 Visa/Mastercard Gift Card

* Entries must be received by February 28th, 2010.
* Your photo Session must be Scheduled before April 15, 2010.
* Referred seniors must book my services by September 1, 2010. The top 3 students will be notified by October 1, 2010.
* Students must refer a minimum of eight (8) bookings to be elible to win the gift cards.
* If chosen as a Model Spokesperson both you and your Guardian MUST SIGN a Parent Contract

The Inspired Photography Workshop provides hands-on photography sessions along with classroom sessions and image critiques. I will be shaping my workshop instruction to meet the needs of each photographer, regardless of skill level or camera equipment.
My focus is on helping you improve your wedding and portrait photography, effectively market your business through the internet, networking and referrals as well as expanding your creativity by turning photographs into unique pieces of art through the use of lighting, photoshop techniques, composition and lenses.

I received a surprise phone call this week from The Knot informing me that I am a winner for The Knot Best of Weddings 2010. I was voted by past clients (brides and grooms) as one of the Best Wedding Photographers in the Midwest region! I am honored to have received this title and had no idea that I was even in the running for this wonderful award.
The publication of The Knot Best of Weddings 2010 will be on newstands in January 2010. I also get the privilege of using The Knot Best of Weddings logo and will receive a plaque.
For all of my previous brides and grooms that filled out the survey!!! Thank you!! Thank you! Thank You! I cannot tell you how much this means to me. You are the best!!!!

- Spend more time with my Lovebug, Reeve
- Spend more time with my hubby
- Create a balance between work and family
- Scan all film photos
- Edit all family photos taken the past (I’m embarrassed to say) years
- Detox my body with a healthy detox program from my nutritionist (a lot of those other fads scare me)
- Yoga or at least some type of stretching every day
- Enter receipts for taxes (or hire someone)
- Design and finish albums and slideshows for 2009 clients
- Update portfolio work on website and update blog with recent weddings
